For the occasion of European Heritage Days, come and visit one of our monumental traditional framing projects at Séverac d'Aveyron castle on September 18, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
You’ll discover 450m2 of solid oak framing made and installed following the traditions of our ancestors, with a span of 16m and a height of 6m.
Culminating at more than 800m, you’ll be offered a 360 ° view of the Aveyron valley.
We’ll explain in particular the access constraints to supply the structural timber due to the geographical location of the castle. More than twenty trips were necessary to transport each batch of beams measuring more than 8m long and weighing up to 1500kg!
